The Musashi Iaito  series from Zheng Zhong forge is constructed of a mono tempered 1045 high carbon steel blade with an etched hamon. As steel feels more like a live blade and is not prone to wobble when swung, these iaito are more durable than iaito made of aluminum alloy. While not designed for a sword on sword contact, this non sharp iaito is perfectly weighted for its designed task. The cutting edge is blunted so there is no danger associated with using a live blade. The handle has genuine ray skin and double pegged for security. The saya is finished in black gloss lacquer with a buffalo horn mouth. The steel fittings are done in higo rock fuchi/kashira , 3" Steel Musashi style tsuba. The tsuka ito is made of premium quality Japanese Silk and the sageo is in a kakucho style weave. These blades come in 27 1/4" length with a 11" tsuka. The swords come with your choice of same' color in natural or blackened as well as silk ito colors and sageo color
