The Ronin series form Zheng Zhong forge represents excellent quality at a great price for a Semi-custom sword. We offer a handmade 1095 high carbon steel blade that has been forged in maru style. The blade is covered with clay then heated and quenched to produce a true hamon. The cutting egde is tempered to a 60 HRC while leaving the spine a 42 HRC. The blade has a hand polished finish and signature (mei) on the nakago. The handle has real same' and is double pegged for added security. The saya is done in a gloss black lacquer with a buffalo horn mouth. The sword fittings are done in a traditional samurai style of plain blackened iron fuchi and kashira , your choice of Japanese tsuba is made in blackened iron, and your choice of Japanese menuki. The sword has a solid brass habaki and gold seppa in a fine file edge. Your choice of tsuka ito is made of a premium Japanese silk and sageo is in a kakucho style weave. Your choice of same' in natural or blackened, Silk ito colors and sageo.
